It’s all about me

This programme is open to students only.

You can come along and take part in all sessions or you can dip in and dip out. Each session will include an interactive element. It’s going to be a lively programme. 

Come armed with questions and we will cover as much ground as we can. This programme is focused on helping you with your career success. It really is all about you. 

 

Standing out 

10.00 -10.25 

This session focuses on what employers are looking for and what will make them pick you. We explore what they like and what they definitely do not like. 

Increase your understanding of what employers want and get ready to increase your success at job interviews. 

 

Networking for success 

10.30 -10.55 

In this session we look at the good and bad of networking. We examine what makes someone great at networking and why they can walk into a room of strangers with ease. 

Recognise when to approach people and how to be memorable for all the right reasons. Networking is needed in all walks of life. Come and learn how to succeed.  

 

Getting your message across  

11.00 -11.25 

Some people know what they want to say but they trip over their words or they get nervous and speak for ages and ages. Everyone has had it happen to them at some point. Communication is hard. 

Join us and discover techniques that will enable you to get your message across for any situation. 

 

Future trends and a twist  

11.30 -11.55 

Ever wanted to know what the next trend to hit the events industry will be? Of course you do. Even knowing what’s ahead in the next few months would make you more valuable to an employer.  

Wondering what the twist is? For that you will have to come to this session. You will leave armed with the latest thinking on the future of the events industry.
