Creating a legacy from your event

All too often, the conference or event happens with limited impact on the destination and its communities.  After a couple of days, the event moves on and descends on another venue somewhere else next year. Hopefully, the delegates and the destination remember the event but in all too many cases the event is forgotten. Is this a missed opportunity?  An opportunity to do more than just have an event but leave something positive and beneficial to the destination and its communities? This session will suggest why events should leave a legacy, what that legacy could be and how to go about leaving such a legacy.  It will also put forward how a corporate or an association can benefit from leaving such a legacy.
