Technology drives us today: We all have an increasing reliance on automation, whether it be on systems, social media, internet or just plain communication - but have we lost sight of the real world? Technology does not solve all our problems, it can even create them. This session will look at what an agency, be it a PCO, meeting planner, CVB, or other stakeholder, can offer to clients that the internet does not. Stakeholders are far more than mere service providers; they are partners with highly flexible and personalized offerings whose experience can prove invaluable, particularly in times of crisis. Whilst accepting that agencies do need a certain level of automation, it must be recognized that they are not merely a resource to be tapped into when information is required - they are a specialized, professional partner providing much needed added-value to meetings.
